DreamHack has extended its ongoing partnership with Monster Energy for another two years, with a view to expanding the digital festival to another continent in 2019.The energy drinks brand will act as the Global Strategic Partner to DreamHack both this year and the next.Monster Energy will also act as a sponsor for each festival and esports tournament that DreamHack produces during the partnership. This working relationship formed in 2014 when the two companies worked together to produce the Monster Energy DreamHack Studios in Stockholm, Sweden – as well as working together on the DreamHack Open.DreamHack has announced 11 events that will take place in 2018, including multiple esports tournaments. This includes the CORSAIR DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018, DreamHack Austin 2018, DreamHack Spain (both Valencia and Sevilla), CORSAIR DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018, and plenty more.Marcus Lindmark, CEO, DreamHack discussed the extended partnership in a statement: “We’re excited but also very proud to team up with Monster Energy for the coming two years. They have been supporting DreamHack for the last 4 years and we’re very excited to now plan even greater things for the future.”Matthew Simpson, Director of Gaming and Esports, Monster Energy also commented: “Four years ago when we first started looking for an event to sponsor, DreamHack was at the top of a very short list of Tier 1 event organizers. DreamHack checked off all of the boxes we were looking for but their staff and support were the deciding factors for extending our partnership into a global multi-year deal. We look forward to supporting the expansion of DreamHack as they bring their festivals into new international markets.”Esports Insider says: Monster Energy has been there alongside DreamHack during plenty of impressive events, so seeing their continued partnership (and the new position for the drinks brand) is very promising for all future events in the next two years.
