MTN FA Cup: Samartex stun Hearts of Oak to cause upset

first_imgSamartex produced one of the upsets of the 2016 MTN FA Cup after beating Hearts of Oak  4-2 on penalties in Samreboi.The game ended goalless in regulation time after Samartex put up a solid defensive display to thwart their Premiership opponents.Seidu Mutawaliku kept Hearts in the game on a number of occassions but Hearts wasted the best chance of the game when Cosmos Dauda missed from close range.Mutawaliku saved the first kick of the shoot-out but the hosts rallied back to nick a 4-2 victory over the Phobians after Paul Acquah missed his decisive kick.The Phobians will have to quickly put the defeat behind them as they face a tricky fixture against WAFA in midweek.– Follow Joy Sports on Twitter: @JoySportsGH.
