He discusses how using a mix of cover crops is beneficial to his soil. McLain says that it’s a common misnomer that using a mix of cover crops is always more expensive.They also discuss how earthworms, or “soil workers” as Werling calls them, make it to where he’s not farming with just his topsoil, but he’s farming with about 4 feet of soil. And it’s all because of their nutrient rich poop.
