first_imgWILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, February 28, 2019:A blue 2017 Ford Explorer struck a pole on Glen Road. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. Verizon notified. (6:49am)A caller reported he saw a black SUV strike a fire hydrant on Research Drive and drive away. Police confirmed damage to the hydrant and contacted the Water Department. (7:30am)A blue 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee slid off Aldrich Road and struck a fire hydrant. No injuries. Vehicle towed. Water Department notified. (7:57am)A Church Street resident surrendered 4 chickens to the Animal Control Officer. (9:03am)Water Astu (37, Chelsea) was a issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle (Subsequent Offense) and Unsecured/Uncovered Load.  Astu’s pickup truck lost its load in the roadway at Lowell Street and Woburn Street. (9:51am)A gray 2013 Kia Soul struck a hydrant and cable box on Agostino Drive and Gandalf Way. Water Department and Verizon notified. (10:20am)A 2-vehicle crash involving a mail truck occurred on Waltham Street. (1:54pm)A Forest Street resident filed a complaint of dogs barking next door for hours at a time while she is conducting business meetings in her home.
